The
lifevests with foamed closed-pore polythene as buoyant material which is covered by strong
and durable nylon can be worn conveniently from both sides and possess an excellent
physical property of not being affected by sea-water or oil. The outstand- ing feature of
the lifevests is that the rationally distributed buoyance can ensure the safe floatation
of the wearer. Moreover, the lifevest can turn the wearer over with his face upward
and his head above the water level at least 120mm under the circum- stance that the wearer
is motionless or unconscious in water.
A whistle for help is attached to each lifevest. After
use. the lifevest should be cleaned and dried, then stored at a dry and ventilative place
far away from the high temperature.
